Information we collect
Information you give us

- Contact form. Your first and last name, email address, phone number and the message you send us.
- Calls, emails and social media. Anything you tell us when you phone, email or message us, including through our Facebook, Instagram or TikTok pages.
- If you become a customer. The details we need to survey, design, install and support your system, such as property details, energy usage and installation records.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use our website, such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, the device and browser you use, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
- Technical data. Our web server records standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the website running securely.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the quotes you ask for.
- To arrange and carry out home assessments, installations and aftercare.
- To manage our relationship with you, including warranties and support.
- To understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
- To keep our website secure and prevent misuse.
- To meet our legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make decisions about you by automated means.
Our lawful basis
Data protection law requires us to have a lawful basis for using your information. We rely on:
- Contract. When you ask for a quote or become a customer, we use your information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then to perform that contract.
- Legitimate interests. To answer general enquiries, run and improve our business and website, and keep it secure. We only do this where our interests are not outweighed by your rights.
- Legal obligation. Where we must keep or share information by law, for example for tax records or industry certification.
- Consent. For analytics cookies, which we only use if you accept them. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where we need to, with:
- Our staff and trusted installers who need it to deliver your quote or installation.
- Service providers who run parts of our business for us, including our website hosting provider, Resend (which delivers the emails sent from our website forms) and Google (Google Analytics).
- If you go ahead with an installation, organisations we are required to notify, such as MCS for certification, your local electricity network operator for grid connection, and equipment manufacturers for warranty registration.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountants and insurers.
- Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to.
Our service providers may only use your information on our instructions and must keep it secure.
International transfers
Some of our service providers, including Google and Resend, may process information outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where this happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We only keep personal information for as long as we need it:
- Enquiries and quotes that don't go ahead: up to 2 years from your last contact with us.
- Customer records: for 6 years after our contract with you ends, to meet tax and accounting requirements, and longer where needed to support warranties on your system.
- Website analytics data: in line with our Google Analytics retention settings, up to 14 months.
